ENT (Otolaryngology)

The ENT (Otolaryngology) department at Guangzhou United Family Hospital provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for ear, nose, and throat diseases. Our professional medical staff has extensive experience in both adult and pediatric ENT conditions. Since its establishment, we have been committed to providing high-quality clinical services for our patients.

Common cases seen in our clinic include otitis media (middle ear infection), rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, and tinnitus. We specialize in adult snoring issues as well as pediatric conditions such as adenoid and tonsil hypertrophy, pediatric snoring, hearing impairment assessments, pediatric sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and secretory otitis media. We also handle ENT trauma and foreign body removal.

The clinic is capable of performing various endoscopic examinations, including fiberoptic laryngoscopy, nasoscopy, and otoscopy (for both adults and children). We provide various endoscopic treatments, such as topical treatment for fungal external otitis, ear canal cleaning, treatment for suppurative otitis media, and removal of foreign bodies from the ear, nose, or throat.

Our department also conducts comprehensive audiological testing, including pure-tone audiometry, tympanometry, ABR, ASSR, and OAE. We provide accurate audiological evaluations for adults, children, and infants. For patients with hearing loss, we offer personalized hearing aid fitting and follow-up based on their hearing levels and clinical data.

Furthermore, the ENT department features a sleep study laboratory to address various sleep disorders, specifically snoring in both adults and children. Through sleep monitoring, we can identify conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Combined with fiberoptic laryngoscopy, we can determine the cause and site of obstruction to formulate a personalized treatment plan.

We are capable of performing various ENT surgeries, including pediatric tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, pediatric middle ear surgery, and adult surgeries such as septoplasty, sinus surgery, and tympanoplasty for eardrum perforations. We also provide minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries for adult adenoid and tonsil hypertrophy, preauricular fistula excision, and turbinate reduction surgery.
