Meet Our Clinical Pharmacists

Dispensing Management & Medication Consultation

We manage the pharmacy strictly in accordance with international standard requirements. We maintain a rich variety of imported and joint-venture drugs, carefully selecting well-known manufacturers and reliable suppliers, and consistently monitoring drug quality.

While ensuring drug safety, we are committed to improving the patient experience. Every physician's prescription is subject to pre-approval audit by a pharmacist to strictly control drug usage for patients. Pharmacists provide detailed drug information and relevant consultations while dispensing medications to patients.

We utilize an electronic prescription management system to ensure the integrity of patient medication records, facilitating the timely detection of drug allergies and drug-to-drug interactions to ensure medication safety.

Providing consultation services on drug usage is a vital part of our pharmacy's work. Our pharmacists can explain in detail how to use inhalers, what effects your medication will have, and work with doctors to answer your questions regarding treatment plans.

Following a paperless transmission method for environmental protection, most of the information we provide is delivered through face-to-face consultation. All medications we dispense are labeled with instructions; extra copies of these materials can be provided upon request.

Hong Kong & Macao Medical Device and Drug Access

Through rigorous official selection and auditing, Guangzhou United Family Hospital stood out from many medical institutions in Guangdong Province and was officially established as one of the first five pilot medical institutions for the "Hong Kong and Macao Medical Device and Drug Access" program on July 28, 2021. Since then, patients no longer need to wait or travel overseas; they can access innovative drugs and medical devices that are already marketed in Hong Kong and Macao but not yet in mainland China directly at our hospital.

With the support of this policy, our hospital has successfully obtained approvals for 11 types of innovative drugs and 16 batches, serving over 1,000 patient cases.

The ultimate goal of the GUFH "HK & Macao Access" project is to benefit patients, with zero markup on all related medications. Beyond these 11 drugs, we are continuously applying for more high-quality innovative drugs that are not yet available in the mainland, hoping to benefit more patients and allow them to use international new drugs and advanced therapies earlier.

In the future, under the support of the "HK & Macao Access" policy, Guangzhou United Family Hospital will continue to focus on patient needs, ensuring patients obtain the most suitable high-quality innovative drugs in the shortest time, quickly and conveniently sharing global medical innovation results, and achieving satisfactory treatment outcomes.
