The Department of Internal Medicine in Guangzhou United Family Hospital (GZU) is committed to providing quality, individualized, and evidence-based healthcare services that follow strict international standards set by the Joint Commission International (JCI). The department is staffed by our highly specialized doctors working closely with our experienced nurses who all have fluent English and excellent communication skills.

Furnished with newly developed facilities and state-of-the-art equipment, our department operates using a full spectrum of specialist services, both inpatient and outpatient, covering the following specialties: gastroenterology and hepatology (including gastrointestinal oncology, diet and nutrition), cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, neurology, rheumatology, nephrology, etc.

The relaxed but professional environment makes our department the ideal place for a range of professional examinations and treatments. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward and Radiation Therapy Center will be available in the near future to further expand our advanced care capabilities.

The internal medicine department, as an integral part of GZU, is fast becoming a regional and international center of excellence for medical education and training. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) of experts and well-known hospitals partake in standardization training for attending doctors – local and global – in internal medicine, tele-consultation, healthcare management, cancer screening, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
