Jian Guo LI
Professor Li Jianguo graduated from the Medical Department of Anhui Medical University in July 1984. He obtained his Master’s degree from Sun Yat-sen Medical University in June 1988 and his Doctorate degree from Guangzhou Medical University in July 2009. Professor Li is a Professor, Chief Physician, and PhD Supervisor in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University. He served as the Director of General Internal Medicine and the Director of the Internal Medicine Teaching and Research Office for 8 years, and as the Director of the Department of Respiratory Medicine for 13 years. He is the current Deputy Director of the Institute of Respiratory Diseases at Sun Yat-sen University and possesses over 40 years of extensive clinical experience.
Professor Li specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complex respiratory diseases and the rescue of critical cases. He has mastered the clinical application of respiratory endoscopy and mechanical ventilation. He possesses rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as chronic cough, shortness of breath, hemoptysis, chest pain, chest tightness, small lung nodules, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, bronchiectasis, lung cancer, pulmonary infections, cor pulmonale, pulmonary embolism, pulmonary fibrosis, and pleural effusion.
Professor Li has been awarded the National May 1st Labor Medal, the title of National Advanced Science and Technology Worker, the “Yangcheng Good Doctor” award, and the title of “Lingnan Famous Doctor.” He also received the First-Class Merit for fighting SARS in Guangdong Province and was named a Model Worker in the fight against SARS in Guangzhou.
Professor Li holds positions in several academic organizations in China, serving as a member of the first Respiratory Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Respiratory Medicine Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Respiratory Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Internal Medicine Physician Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, Vice Chairman of the Respiratory Branch of the Guangdong Health Management Association, Standing Committee Member of the Tuberculosis Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association, and a member of the Respiratory Medicine Professional Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association.
