Education Background

• 1981-1986: Bachelor of Medicine, China Medical University.
• 1988-1991: Master’s degree in Internal Medicine, Medical School of Chinese PLA (People’s Liberation Army), under the mentorship of Professor Huang Changxia.
• 1997-2000: PhD in Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the mentorship of Professor Sydney Chung. Professor Sydney Chung is the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK, a world-renowned laparoscopic surgery expert known as the “Father of Endoscopy in Hong Kong.” He completed the first laparoscopic cholecystectomy in mainland China in the early 1990s, pioneering minimally invasive surgery in China.
• 2015: Invited by Professor Peter Cotton as a visiting scholar to the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for advanced training and exchange. Professor Peter Cotton was among the first experts in the world to complete Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and is known as the “Father of ERCP.”

Medical Experience

• 1986-2022: Deputy Director of the Department of Gastroenterology, Chinese PLA General Hospital; First Director of the Department of Gastroenterology, Hainan Branch of Chinese PLA General Hospital.
• 2022-Present: Director of the Department of Internal Medicine and Director of Gastroenterology, Beijing & Shenzhen United Family Hospital.

Academic Achievements

• Published 42 SCI papers, 27 English abstracts, and 135 Chinese papers.
• Supervised 33 PhD and Master’s students.
• Obtained 1.6 million RMB as the primary applicant for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and other projects, and 6.1 million RMB as a co-applicant.
• Published numerous professional books.
• Delivered 15 keynote speeches at major international conferences in the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Austria, Denmark, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, etc.
• Guided PhD and Master’s students to win excellence awards for papers and obtain Travel Grants 9 times at international conferences such as United European Gastroenterology Week (UEGW).
