My medical philosophy is benevolence in medicine; I am dedicated to helping every patient. I strive to make dangerous surgeries safe, open surgeries minimally invasive, and complex surgeries simple. I feel the patients’ urgency and think from their perspective.

  • Upper cervical spine deformities, basilar invagination, atlantoaxial dislocation, odontoid fractures, atlantoaxial fractures;
  • Single-segment and multi-segment cervical spondylosis; minimally invasive surgery for cervical spondylosis;
  • Thoracic spinal stenosis, ossification of the ligamentum flavum, ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament, minimally invasive surgery for thoracolumbar fractures;
  • Minimally invasive treatment for lumbar disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolysis;
  • Osteoporosis and related pathological fractures;

  • 2013 – Present: Worked in the Department of Spine Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.
  • Jan 2019 – Dec 2020: Served as a visiting scholar at the AO Research Institute in Switzerland for two years.
  • 2022: Appointed as Associate Chief Physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University.

Academic Achievements

  • Recipient of the 2022 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for Young Scholars;
  • Participated in multiple national, provincial, and municipal scientific research grants;
  • Published over 30 SCI papers, including 9 as the first or co-first author in world-renowned journals such as “European Spine Journal” and “Journal of Orthopaedic Translation,” and 20 papers in Chinese core journals.
